Pueblos con techos rojos
Lake Atitlán is a body of water in a large volcano crater in the southwest of Guatemala. The lake is surrounded by the Sierra Madre mountain range and is a large tourist attraction. The lake is also surrounded by volcanoes, small towns, and steep hills. This painting depicts San Marcos La Laguna, which is a prominent town on the lake accessible by boats. This town has many street markets and is located across from the San Pedro, Atitlan, and Toliman volcanoes. San Marcos La Laguna is also known for its beautiful paths to the lake, the Church of San Marcos, and many street markets.
